Personal Information You Provide

You may choose to provide personal information (such as your name, address, telephone number and email address) on our Sites. Here are the ways you may provide the information and the types of information you may submit. We also tell you how we may use the information.

Event Registration
You may register on our Sites for Hunton & Williams-sponsored events. You may provide us with your first name, last name, telephone number and email address when registering for an event. We use this information to register you for the event and contact you about changes and updates regarding the event. We also may use the information to communicate with you about other events and topics that we believe may be of interest to you.

News, Alerts and Publications
On our Sites, you may sign up to receive news, alerts and publications from Hunton & Williams. To sign up, we may ask you for information such as your name, address, telephone number, email address and topics of interest. We use the information you provide to send you the communications your request. We also may use the information to communicate with you about other topics that we believe may be of interest to you.

Blogs
You may be able to submit comments to blogs we host on our Sites. You may include personal information in your comment, and you also may submit your name with your comment. We use your name to identify you as a commenter. You also may subscribe to RSS feeds of our blogs. To do so, we request your email address to provide you access to the RSS feed.

Careers
At HuntonCareers.com you may submit your resume and other information to apply for a job with Hunton & Williams. We use the information you submit to evaluate your interest in employment and to contact you regarding possible employment with Hunton & Williams.

Alumni
At HuntonAlumni.com, you can reconnect and network with more than 2,600 current and former Hunton & Williams lawyers, law clerks and summer associates. The website provides (i) an alumni directory, (ii) a forum for networking and posting announcements, events, white papers and other notable publications, and (iii) a job bank to share opportunities with the Hunton & Williams community.

 

Sign In/Email Us
To participate in the Alumni website, we ask you to sign in with your name and password, or you may email us so we can help you log in. We will use the information you provide to give you access to the website and to respond to your inquiries.

Feedback and Suggestions
If you email us through the “Feedback and Suggestions” link on the Alumni home page, we may ask you for information such as your name and email address so we can respond to your questions and comments. You may choose to provide additional information as well.

Alumni Directory and Your Profile
You may submit your profile and contact information, as well as a photograph, to the Alumni Directory. The Alumni Directory page allows you to submit and edit your information to create an updated personal profile to share with Hunton & Williams alumni and lawyers. We will use the information to facilitate user searches of the website to find your contact and profile information. We also may use the information to communicate with you, such as by sending you our firm newsletter and other firm or program announcements.

Events
You may post notices of professional events that may be of interest to Hunton & Williams alumni and lawyers. In connection with a posting, you will be asked to share your name and contact information. We will use this information to share your news of professional events with the Hunton & Williams community.
 
From a link on the Alumni site, you also may register for Hunton & Williams-sponsored events, as described on the Event Registration section of this Privacy Notice.

Announcements
You may post professional announcements that may be of interest to Hunton & Williams alumni and lawyers. In connection with a posting, you will be asked to share your name and contact information. We will use this and other information you choose to provide to share your announcement with the Hunton & Williams community.

Message Board
You may network more actively with Hunton & Williams alumni and lawyers through postings on the Alumni site Message Board. If you choose to do so, we will ask you to share your name. You may choose to share other personal information as well. We will use this information to facilitate conversations on the Message Board.

White Papers and Cool Stuff
If you would like to post white papers or other publications, we will use the information you provide to post your submission. We will, at our discretion, review and post appropriate submissions.

Job Bank - Post a Job
You can post and search job opportunities through HuntonAlumni.com. To post a job, we ask that you submit the text of the submission, along with your name and contact information. We will, at our discretion, review and post appropriate submissions. We use the information you provide for career development and employment opportunities. We make this information available to Hunton & Williams alumni.

Contact Us
If you communicate with us through the “Contact Us” link on our Sites, we may ask you for information such as your name, email address and telephone number so we can respond to your questions and comments. We also may use the information you provide to communicate with you about topics that we believe may be of interest to you.

Other Site Features
Our Sites offer various features, which we may change from time to time. We may ask you to submit certain personal information so we can provide you with and communicate with you about these features.

Other Uses of Information
We may use the personal information you provide on the Sites for our internal purposes. These purposes include administration of the Sites, data analytics and compliance with our legal obligations, policies and procedures.

Personal Information We Collect by Automated Means
We collect certain information by automated means when you visit our Sites, such as how many users visited our Sites and the pages accessed.
